With SpeakOut, your time is yours, good for a full 365 days, and any unused time rolls over when you buy more.

  • Local Talk Rate: $0.30/per minute for incoming and outgoing local calls. Rate now includes Canada Wide Calling!
  • U.S.A. Long Distance Talk Rate: $0.45/per outgoing minute
  • International Long Distance Talk Rate: Contact Customer Care for the per minute rate to your destination country
  • 411 Calls: $3.50 per call plus Local Talk Rate per minute
  • A 911 Emergency Regulatory Cost Recovery Fee of $1.25 will be debited from your account on a monthly basis. The monthly fee of $1.25 is a Government Regulatory Recovery Fee charged to all wireless subscribers regardless of where you reside.

You can activate Automatic 30 Day Top Ups for all your phone numbers, simply by signing up for a SpeakOut account. Just choose the Top Up amount, register and confirm your billing details, and you’re done. Your phone numbers will be topped up every 30 days. 

All calls are charged in full minute increments.

The cost to send an MMS is just $0.50/message and incoming MMS messages are free. Please note you must have an active Data add-on or 30 Day Value plan with data to send and receive MMS messages.


Be sure your phone has the correct Data/MMS settings.

Outgoing MMS Messages 50c

* Unlimited text add-on expires 30 days from activation date. No credit for unused or expired text messages. Balances are non-transferable and non-refundable. To successfully add the text add-on to your SpeakOut account, you must have an airtime balance greater than $12.00, and your account must not expire within the next 30 days. Canada and USA (sent) text messages included. International text message rate is $0.35 per (sent) text. Incoming texts are always free. The $10 charge will be deducted from your airtime balance every 30 days from the date of activation. To cancel this feature, call Customer Service (611 on your SpeakOut phone or 1-866-310-1023) or deactivate the feature from your online account before the next renewal date. If your airtime balance is below $12.00 at the time of renewal, or your account is set to expire in less than 30 days, the add-on will be removed from your account and you will be charged $0.15 per sent text message.

A 911 Emergency Regulatory Cost Recovery Fee of $1.25 will be debited from your account on a monthly basis. The monthly fee of $1.25 is a Government Regulatory Recovery Fee charged to all wireless subscribers regardless of where you reside.

If you are on a 30 Day Value Plan, your minutes will deduct from your Value Plan balance, in addition to the destination global long distance rate.

  1. Find your destination number rate: type in the country or phone number to find your destination number.
  2. Sign Up or Log In to your SpeakOut Account.
  3. Activate the Global Long Distance Add-On & wait for a text message containing a local access phone number.
  4. Save the local access phone number to your contact list for future use.

How do I place a call?

  1. Dial local access phone number.
  2. Listen for recorded message prompt.
  3. Dial 011, the destination number and press the # key.

If you do not use the local access phone number while placing international calls, you will be charged a higher rate!
